All, The standing rigging tension specifications for many Island Packet models are now available on IP Home Port. These specifications have been added to each of the 26 IP Model Info pages that are available via this LINK or from the main menu. Here's a screen shot to show how the specifications are displayed : Note that there are currently eight models with no tension specs : IP26 Mk I, IP26 Mk II, IP360, IP370, IP460, IP465, SP Cruiser, and Estero Placeholders have been coded in the database in anticipation of specifications for these models becoming available. If you own one of these IP models, please check your owner's manual to see if there's a table with standing rigging tension data. If so, please contact me via PM if you are willing/able to send me a scan (or even a photo) so that I can update the database accordingly. Thanks to Bobby (user name 'Grainne') and Bob (user name 'RAbend') for contributing the data used for this enhancement. Bobby also gets extra credit for suggesting the change and for proof-reading my typing! Fair Winds ... |

Stuart, I checked my manual. There is a rig tuning section, but I find no rigging specs. I suspect the IP26 MkII may be the same as the 27, but maybe the factory can confirm that? Thanks for doing this. Last edited on 05-04-2012 04:23 pm by CEMcDonnell |

Chris, Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately we've been unable to get any information from the factory re: the tension specifications for the IP26 Mk I or Mk II. Maybe one day a treasure trove of data for these earliest members of the Island Packet family will be found ... |

All, I've just updated the IP Model Info page for the IP370 with standing rigging tension specifications. Thanks to Harry Burns (HSBurns) aboard IP370-24, Two for the Roads, for contributing this information. This leaves 7 models without tension specifications : IP26 Mk I, IP26 Mk II, IP360, IP460, IP465, SP Cruiser, and Estero If you own one of these IP models, please check your owner's manual to see if there's a table with standing rigging tension data. If so, please contact me via PM if you are willing/able to send me a scan (or even a photo) so that I can update the database accordingly. In Harry's case he simply took an iPhone photo of the appropriate table from his owner's manual and sent it to me via my webmaster@iphomeport e-mail address ... Thanks in advance for helping to complete this project! |
